Spent 6 relaxing nights at the Bali Hai. The hotel is about 500 metres walking distance to Cable Beach. There is a tavern and a cafe/grocery store only about 200 metes away. I found the area quiet with well maintained. The hotel has a very good quality restaurant with excellent service. There is a local bus service that operates regularly past the hotel. - Terence

One night in Broome before joining a tour, now I wish I had stayed longer. A delightful, relaxed hotel complex, small and intimate, yet private. The staff were young, cheerful and friendly. I chose a Deluxe Studio Villa because it had an indoor bathroom but an additional outdoor shower. I'm glad I chose this because it was a little more private than the Studio Villas. The villa had a tropical feel with cool tiled floors, woven rush ceilings and Asian accents. The four-poster bed was supremely comfortable. If I had stayed longer I would have tried the huge bath, but I ignored this in favour of the outdoor shower. I was in Broome in unseasonable weather, so it was overcast and raining but not cold. Standing outside and washing under a gentle spray of hot water while cool fat raindrops also fell on my head was an absolutely wonderful experience. This was topped off by the little green frog who wriggled out of the shower grate, and I swear he gave me a reproachful look before hopping over to a corner to sulk! - Journeywoman55

We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at Bali Hai Resort and Spa ( 13-15 July). My husband has a spinal cord injury at his waist level, and uses a manual wheelchair to move around. (We travel also with a portable commode, that packs into a suitcase on wheels, that he puts it together when we arrive at each hotel). Andy, the owner of Bali’s Hai and Yvette, the manager could not have done more to make our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. We thank them for their understanding and generosity. The Room we had (Room 16) was lovely, spacious and well set up in the bathroom and toilet areas for John’s use,!using either a wheelchair or commode. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor shower there too. The bed was a little high for John to transfer onto easily but with a transfer board that we travel with always, and me helping, he made it. The Bali Hai is located within 30-40 m of the Broome Council Explorer Bus service that runs every half hour into town or if you walk to the other of the road, you will go to to Cable Beach. The best thing for us is that both these town buses are accessible for wheelchairs - the have ramps that slide out and the bus can lower to the ground so that the ramp is not steep. We were able to tour Broome just by catching the bus. The laundry at Bali Hai has efficient washing machines and dryers for guests that are free to use and washing powder is provided. The Bali Hai restaurant, opened for lunch and dinner was superb, and we ate there the three nights we stayed - both on the verandah under the stars and inside the glass walled restaurant itself. Thank you to Chef Carl and manager Katy for three memorable meals and great service. Best to book ahead though because it is so popular. Just one comment though about the availability of accessible taxis or vans in Broome. They do not appear to there at the moment. Bali Hai helped us out when no one else could. For example we were transported from the Broome Pier after a cruise from Darwin, to Bali Hai, in a large commuter bus that had been driven to Broome only about a month ago. We were the only ones on the bus and it apparently costs in the order of $220/hour to hire. - Suzette S

Every visit to Broome I visit Bali Hai spa because it is by far the best in Broome. The staff are wonderful and have been working at Bali Hai spa for many years. Heidi and Niluh are very experienced and professional and are totally concerned with your enjoyment of the experience. I can’t speak highly enough of the quality of the treatment especially the wonderful Shinju pearl. Treat yourself. A blissful experience. - glentro

Booked a back and foot massage for my husband and I last month. Lovely resort and it just had a very relaxed and calming effect when you arrived there. Massages were lovely (not long enough) and we were left afterwards in a little area outside with a pool if we wanted to have a swim and tea and a little snack which was all lovely. A great experience and would recommend anyone wanting a massage to come here. Even the resort looked beautiful to stay there. Maybe next time I come up to Broome. - shellsbells63

We had the 'Bali in Broome' spa experience as a Christmas treat. Great massage, the light snacks, and the spa afterwards totally relaxed us. Although we're locals, we'd never tried massages here. We only stayed here one night because our flight was cancelled, but it was such a lovely place to relax from that stress, we felt welcome and like they would do anything they could for us. We booked our stay last minute due to some changes in our travel plans, they were very accommodating. Let us have a very early check in and late checkout with no fees. Great location, minutes away from cable beach. Quiet, comfortable beds, and clean. Nice touch with the private outdoor shower with towels that can be used for guests if they are going to the airport later in the day and need to freshen up. Wonderful resort, felt like we were in Bali. Gardens beautiful, rooms ideal, service great. Had a relaxing and enjoyable time at the pool. The location was perfect, easy access to Cable Beach, Divers Tavern and town. Conveniently there is a bus stop just outside the premises. Had great reviews of the restaurant but unfortunately was not able to dine there because of other commitments. Stayed in the 2 bedroom deluxe villa for 5 nights, with highlights being the excellent service from everyone who worked at the resort, nothing was too much trouble and how well everything was cleaned/maintained both in the villa and around the resort. The resort isn’t new so this shows in the decor and furnishing BUT everything is very comfortable, in particular the beds. The villa was very clean, well equipped with basic equipment, everything we needed to self cater. Loved the pool area, which was small but never felt crowded and shade was available most of the day if you needed it. Glad we had an indoor bathroom as well as the outdoor, but I think in good weather the Mandi bathroom would be enough. The cafe served great food and was available for poolside dining/drinks at lunch and late afternoon. Will be returning next year! - Fran

On first glance we knew we had chosen well, with spotless reception area and beautiful gardens we felt welcomed immediately. Then we were greeted with the friendly and professional staff and taken to our fantastic spacious room which had everything we needed in Broome, even an outside shower area! Together with my wife, we recently spent 6 days at the Bali Hai Resort and Spa. Starting from checking in, we could tell the staff here were friendly, very helpful and always with a smile. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained and highlighted with a lovely pool area. Our Deluxe Studio Villa was spacious, fitted out with quality furniture and self contained should you wish to prepare your own meals. Webber BBQ was an added bonus. You have choice of indoor or outdoor showers plus a large tub. Rooms are also serviced periodically and towels can be changed as required. Having previously stayed in Broome at other resorts, in our opinion, Bali Hai presents a better overall package for guests we will definitely be back. - Dean M

Communication by text to inform that the room was ready early was a wonderful service. Unfortunately, we were coming from a tour at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm and we could not take advantage of the early check in. Check in was friendly and efficient with personalised service being shown to our villa by the front counter lady. We were wowed by the villa! Everything was immaculate - even the arrangement of the cutlery in the drawers. The outside toilet/bathroom was very different to what we have ever experienced. If I were to be picky, it would have been nice to have some specialty teas like peppermint, earl grey or green tea. When we were checking in, I enquired about laundry facilities and was told that there was the laundromat that guest could use. What I found strange is that we later saw a washing machine and dryer hidden away in the outdoor bathroom of our villa. We were not sure if it was hidden as to not be used or it was merely hidden for aesthetic purposes. However, we were here only for 2 nights and I had done a wash at the guest laundry. Anyway, the guest laundry was fabulous with washing detergent and softener provided. The only negative is that it closed at 7.30pm so we had to return midway through our meal to pack the dried clothes away. It was the last night of our 8 night holiday in Broome that we experienced the most exquisite food. The food at the Bali Hai restaurant was not only beautifully presented, every single bite was divine and to our surprise the meat portions were not measly portions and came with substantial sides too. Seldom do we come across restaurants that cooked all the meat perfectly medium rare too. We were wowed by both the hotel and the restaurant here which were top notched and only wished we could extend our stay. - mjail5

From the moment you arrive you know you have made a great accommodation choice. The reception staff are great, all smiles and assistance. The superior studio apartment is brilliant. Roomy with a comfortable four poster bed, a large bathroom with a deep soak bathtub and shower, an outdoor mandi shower (worth trying), a fully stocked kitchen and an outdoor gas BBQ. The pool was just magic and the Bai Hai Cafe is rated as the number 1 restaurant and you can see why. You are minutes from Cable Beach and about 7 minutes to the airport and Broome township We cannot wait to return to this resort - Tony W

We had a 9 night very relaxing stay at Bai Hai Resort and Spa which is a lovely, understated Balinese style resort with large bungalows, beautiful gardens and a nice pool in a great location to Cable Beach. Resort staff are attentive and will help with any request. From housekeeping to restaurant to reception staff, everyone is kind and helpful. March is still the wet season in the Kimberley and it was very humid. Record humidity makes even the best air conditioning in rooms work hard. We had a deluxe suite. Brilliant. Spacious, large bath outdoor shower. At present there is a problem throughout Broome with securing enough service staff therefore the restaurant is only open in the evenings from 5.30 Wed to Sunday nights. It is definitely the best restaurant in Broome! The shuttle bus out front takes you anywhere you want to go on the Broome circuit. Matos's, Town Beach, Chinatown etc. Stop at the Boulevard shops 10 mins away and the return shuttle picks you up in 40 minutes. Long enough to grab essential supplies to make your stay comfortable from BWS and Woolies and have a coffee. We enjoyed cheese and fruit platters around the pool most afternoons with glasses (plastic) of bubbly. There are many places to grab breakfast close by. Loved our stay. There are many resorts around.....Bali Hai is like being in Bali. ps. Do a sunset cruise with Broome Whale Watching. - burnsbeachbaby

Hubby and I have just spent a week up in Bali. We ate a couple of nights at the Bali Hai Restaurant. Its five star food and the waitresses are lovely and very accommodating. We had been there six months earlier for a meal and they remembered us which was lovely. The chef that does the cooking can accommodate all diet requirements. If you are staying in Broome or have a special occasion meal I would definitely recommend a meal at the Bali Hai restaurant. You can eat in our outside and the chairs are very comfy. I also booked my husband and I in for a one hour massage at the spa. Never had experienced the spa when previously visiting Bali Hai Resort and Spa. I have to say I was not disappointed. From the moment we walked in the door we were seated down and had forms to fill out and then we were taken to the male and female change rooms and given a key to play our items after changing into a wrap. The key stays with you till you are ready to change back into your clothes. We were also told if we wanted to have a swim afterwards to bring our bathers. Hubby and I went into different rooms as we both had different massages. I had a Paradise Massage which you can have for 30 min, 60 min or 90 minutes. as soon as I was on the table my lady asked if the pressure was ok. She performed a smoking ceremony first to relax me and then before I knew a hour went by . a great way to relax and the girls are so friendly. When I came out after getting changed there was a herbal tea waiting for me. They have so much on the spa menu. My recommendation is to book way before you arrive. In Broome they are having trouble getting enough staff so all the restaurants and spas suggest you book at the time of booking your holiday. - Kitkat071

Every year I visit Broome I treat myself to a spa treatment at Bali Hai. It is a first class spa. A great welcome. Good change rooms and excellent treatment rooms. But the highlight is the quality of the therapists. Heidi was an exceptional masseuse and extremely pampering. I had the lime and coconut ritual with a foot massage. Every part of my body was treated over the 2 hours. I couldn’t recommend the Bali hai spa highly enough. - Glentro

Bali Hai Resort and Spa This is a uniquely designed, Balinese inspired hotel set in manicured and beautiful gardens. Personable staff and highly regarded spa services and restaurant enhance your stay experience. Spacious, comfortable and well equipped rooms make for a restful stay. As an added bonus a world renowned beach is just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. Bali Hai is highly recommend as your accommodation option in Broome. In detail (Studio room): Check in: Hassle free and friendly. Accommodation: The exterior has a large private courtyard equipped with furniture, an easy to use BBQ and overhead fan. The interior provides a comfortable double bed and Balinese themed furniture. Adequate hanging space and shelves. Easy to use safe. Two seater sofa and a wall mounted flat screen TV (excellent reception). The kitchen is well equipped and has an adequately sized fridge and a dishwasher. Cooling and heating is provided by a reverse cycle air conditioner and ceiling fans. The bathroom and toilet are external. I love this format – it’s still very private but it may not appeal to some people. The washing machine is located in this area as well. Staff: Cheerful, pleasant and hardworking. An asset to the hotel! Restaurant: Full glass windows and a timber floor set the mood. There is an outside dining area overlooking the pool. Dinner only is available Wed to Sunday. Licensed. The venue is highly regarded so bookings are essential. Spa services: Very popular so bookings are essential (well before your stay). Guests commented the services were excellent. Hotel facilities: Balinese inspired design. Well maintained gardens. The flowering frangipanis were delightful. The kidney shaped pool was well shaded and had a welcome spa jet feature! Most importantly lounge cushions were changed daily and the pool was kept scrupulously clean. Car parking is ample and is located in hotel grounds. Location: Short walk to the general store, liquor outlet/pub and Cable beach. There is a regular bus service that covers travel from Cable beach to town and return. The bus stop is essentially at the front of the resort. Internet: Wi-Fi service is excellent. Sign on is quick and problem free. The connection is fast and reliable. And yes your streaming services are supported. Best hotel provided internet I’ve experienced to date! Checkout: Is at 10am but you can still store your luggage and use the communal bathroom facilities. - worldinabag

Stayed in villa 1 with another couple and found the apartment very clean, though it could use a little modernizing but value for money it surpasses Cable Beach resort where I Stayed last time I was in Broome. The pool area is relaxing and clean and the spa is amazing. The staff were so friendly and obliging and honest. I left a pair of diamond earrings behind and I thought I lost them when I contacted the hotel they informed me nothing was in lost property or handed in. Then to my surprise a week later I received a call from them informing me a guest had found them and handed them in to the office. The Bali Hai arranged for them to be posted and I received them three days later. The honesty and integrity of the Bali Hai is second to none and I will definitely stay there again. Holiday in Paradise! Myself and my partner stayed in a Studio room for 2 nights at Bali Hai. The room was spacious, nice apartment style. Bed was very comfortable, I liked the barbecue outside. I had a spa treatment which was so amazing. The only thing I didn't really like, is the restaurant doesn't have a lot of Main choices that aren't seafood options. As someone who doesn't eat seafood, I had to eat sides for my dinner. Other than that we had a wonderful stay. Upon check in, you get offered Lemongrass tea which was a nice addition. - Katie Coates

Everything was amazing! We had Oysters to start: Thai style and kilpatrick, both were amazing. So fresh and tasty. I then had the duck breast which was unbelievable, everything was so tasty and so refined, it all worked so well together. My partner had the surf and turf which was cooked perfectly and again went beyond expectations. So worth a visit, would definitely go back. Loved the fact they give you all you need and more ! like a small radio for outdoors music and a dishwasher in the room ! this is fabulous.I did find the outdoor shower and toilet very different especially in the rain in the morning LOL but hey it was a new experience and we loved it ! the meals were delivered on time and were lovely also especially the pork belly!! Thankyou Bali Hai team you have met our expectations and will return and loved the fact you gave a discount for being LOCALS to the kimberely from good ol Derby town. Normally we try to fit in everything in a short time period, this time we decided to relax a bit more, and the Bali Hai was the perfect place to do this. From the moment we arrived with their warm welcome and their delicious fresh iced tea to the time we left, it was great. Our villa was large and very comfortable, including a very large bathroom/shower area with a large bathtub and dual shower. Also had a private outdoor shower, however we thought it a bit too warm to shower outside, besides we had such great facilities indoors, why not use them. The room was well maintained containing all the necessities, The courtyard was large and had a good atmosphere, and included a weber BBQ which we made good use of. Short stroll to the pool which was never crowded during our stay for a refreshing dip. It is only a very short stroll to the end of the road to a corner store for nothing you may need, and Divers Tavern is just around the corner to top up your fridge or to have drink. Service form all staff was excellent, they were friendly and helpful at all times. The restaurant whilst not the cheapest in town, has great atmosphere, great food wand great service. We will c certainly be looking at the Bali Hai for our next visit to Broome, - Ronp1954

We stayed at the Besort Bali Hai Resort for 5 nights and it was a great stay. The unit we were in (27) was towards the back of the Resort and very quiet. The room was comfortable and well appointed. It had everything need for your time away from home. The bed was comfortable and clean and all amenities good quality. Fluffy towels and a great shower (double Head) and an outside shower as well. The kitchen had everything even the kitchen sink, lol! The outside sitting area was nice with an overhead fan. Weber BBQ, table and chairs (not so comfortable) and lovely garden. Cant complain about the room. The grounds and the pool area were really lovely and well maintained. Staff friendly and the reception on check in was smooth and effortless. We were welcomed with a very cold iced tea, nice touch. Plenty of parking and a short walk to Drivers Hotel. Overall a great stay thank you. - Wendy F

Booked in for the Dancing Dragon package at Bali Hai Spa which was a beautiful, luxurious and relaxing experience. My therapist was Ghing who was so lovely. I can highly recommend both Ghing & Bali Hai Day Spa. Will book again when next in Broome. - Christina H

We had a great time in Broome and thoroughly enjoyed staying with you guys. Everyone of the staff was friendly and happy to help. We also really appreciate the way you helped out when our Shuttle didn't happen. Please pass on our kind regards and thanks to Tony who we chatted to as he worked out the front. I had the best meal, i had in Bali at your restaurant. We had a table of 10 and everyone commented on how the food was top of the class. I had the eye fillet surf and turf and was the best i have ever had. 10 out 10 to the chefs. The service and staff were always very happy to help. I absolutely loved it here, I could almost have been in Bali. Accomodation was spectacular especially the outdoor bathroom, it was such a pleasure to shower outside in the moonlight. I would recommend Bali Hai to anyone travelling to Broome - Collette

I got the Bali hai hot coco oil wrap and it was Devine. Not ideal for sensitive skin types. The exfoliation is effective but can dry the skin out but the accompanying massage and oil pouring (which is warm enough but doesn’t burn you) also hydrates you. Beautiful apartment and nice pool. Perfect to have rented a small car to take us to restaurants, cable beach and the shops as all close but not walking distance. Good free parking. Do book your restaurant table at least two days in advance or even before you arrive as their restaurant is very popular and places are not guaranteed for guests, although they did us the favour of letting us choose from the main restaurant menu and then having the food delivered to our lovely little barbie area to eat as if we were at the restaurant!! - Ann

It was a pleasure staying at Bali Hai for the first time, Reception was lovely and friendly and also love the set out of it all! and especially the open air bathroom think was all our favourite and private patio is a bonus 😁. I will definitely be back soon. - Joelene River
